Authentic Reindeer Farm Tour in Seipäjärvi

Meet the reindeer, hear the stories and enjoy Lappish hospitality

Duration: 2,5 hours

Enter the heart of authentic reindeer farm in the village of Seipäjärvi, a traditional reindeer farm,
where reindeer herding has been practiced by families for centuries. On this 2.5-hour guided tour, you will experience the everyday life of reindeer herding up close and enjoy traditional Lappish hospitality.

You will walk with a reindeer herder along the reindeer fence, feed the reindeer and photograph them in peace. During the tour, you will hear stories about the history of reindeer herding, its importance to the villagers and how the reindeer have been used before and now.

At the beginning of your visit, Virve from Feelis services welcomes you to the village in her home. Inside the house, you can get to know local art, the history of the farm and the hostess’s dogs.
After the visit to reindeerfarm we enjoy the atmosphere of the campfire in the hut and we offer sausages and local pastries with warm drinks.

The reindeer farm visit is suitable for all ages.

You need: Warm winter clothes (hat, gloves, winter boots, padded clothes)

The reindeerfarm visit can be booked from December to April.
Visiting days are Fridays at 11 am.
